The work around the edit. Captions, tools and a site that fits.

You chose the shooting and the cutting. Fixing captions, re-exporting files and fighting a template site are the parts we take off your plate.

What goes wrong

The same problems come up on almost every first call.

Auto-captions mishear the names that matter.

Guests, products and brand terms come out wrong. If you publish in English and Chinese, you fix it twice, then re-time the translation by hand.

The same export, five times a day.

Cut, export in three sizes, rename, upload, repeat. Each step takes a minute, and together they eat the afternoon.

The homepage looks like everyone else's.

Your work has a look of its own. Your website is a template with a grid of thumbnails and a list of links.

Three accounts for one website.

The domain is on a personal card, the email is with another company and the site lives on a builder. When something breaks, nobody knows where to log in.

What we build

Each answer links to the service behind it.

  • Captions worded by your script

Speech recognition sets the timing and your script supplies the words. Upload the video, the script and its translation, pick the paragraphs, preview, then download the video with both languages burned in.

    Custom software
  • Small tools for the step you repeat

We write desktop utilities that do one job well: batch exports, file naming, captions for a folder of clips. They run on your computer, with your files.

    Desktop & devices
  • A homepage people play with

On the flashlight homepage, the pointer became a UV flashlight over a dark mural, with hidden links that glow in the beam. It still works with touch, a keyboard and reduced-motion settings.

    Websites
  • Site, domain and email together

Managed hosting with the site checked every minute, plus domains, email and storage. One team to call when something looks wrong.

Questions

Which languages can the captions handle?

The bilingual caption editor was built for English and Chinese. Other pairs are possible, but each one needs testing on real footage before we'd call it ready.

Where does our footage go?

We'll tell you before we build anything. Where it's practical, we prefer tools that run on your own machine, so raw footage doesn't have to leave it.

Do we have to switch editing software?

No. We build around the editor you already use. Our tools take exported files in and hand finished files back, so the edit stays where it is.

Have something that should work better?

Tell us what is getting in the way. A person reads it and replies within two business days.
